Esther Lily Doddridge was born in October 1912.1 She was the daughter of Leslie Truman Doddridge and Mary E. Green.1 Esther Lily Doddridge married, at age 24, Arthur William Scholderer, age 26, son of William A. Scholderer and Carrie Frances McDonald, on Friday, 3 September 1937.1,3 Esther Lily Doddridge died on 9 October 1971 at Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, at age 59 years. Her cause of death is listed as Carcinomatosis (Cancer.)1,2 She was buried on 13 October 1971 in the Riverside Cemetery, located in Franklin County, Ohio.1,2

Survived by husband, Arthur W; son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Scholderer, of Columbus; 2 grandchildren, mother, Mrs. Mary Doddridge, Columbus; sister, Mrs. Thelma Smeigh of Hebron, Ohio; nephew Robert Smeigh, of Thornville. Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD CO. CHAPEL, 255 E. State St., 7-9 p.m. Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where service will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. Internment, Riverside Cemetery.1
