     Everett O. Kitchen was born on 6 May 1922 at Andersonville, Ross County, Ohio.1,4 He was the son of Andrew Kitchen and Martha Large.1 Everett O. Kitchen married Ruth E. Feldmaier, daughter of William J. Feldmaier and Emma R. Keller, in 1951.1,2,3,5 Everett O. Kitchen died on 21 April 2005 at age 82 years, 11 months and 15 days.1,4 He was buried on 26 April 2005 in section 93, lot 2618, in the Woodland Cemetery, located in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.1
     His obituary was published on 23 April 2005 in the Chillicothe Gazette, printed in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio. His obituary stated:

     Everett O. Kitchen, 82, of Riverside, passed away April 21, 2005.

     He was born May 6, 1922 in Andersonville, Ohio, the son of Andrew and Martha Large Kitchen. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Luther, Herman and Howard Kitchen; two sisters, Jettie Lauerman and Essie Overman, of Chillicothe, Ohio.

     He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 54 years; two sons, Paul E. and John W. Kitchen; one daughter, Joyce E. Kitchen; grandson, Justin W. Kitchen; and step-grandson, Robert Frantz; granddaughter, Amanda R. Brunner, of Dayton, Ohio.

     Everett was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Kettering, Ohio. He was a Naval veteran of WWII serving 39 months. He was a holder of the Asiatic Pacific medal with one star, the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He retired from Wright-Patterson Air Force base in 1987 as Airfield Operations Officer after 34 years of service.

     Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. the same day. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery of Dayton. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Mr. Kitchen's memory.
