     Caroline Mary Jackson was born on 15 April 1911 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 She was the daughter of Peter Jackson and Caroline Losch.3,1 Caroline Mary Jackson married, at age 32, William Dale Sholder, age 40, son of Clarence M. Sholder and Mabel M. DeRemer, on Wednesday, 25 August 1943.3,1 Caroline Mary Jackson died on 3 April 2001 at Sycamore Manor, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 11 months and 19 days.2 She was buried on 6 April 2001 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
     She was worked for Sears Roebuck & Company as the manager in the drapery department. The marriage announcement for Caroline Mary Jackson and William Dale Sholder was published sometime in August 1943 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. This announcement stated:

     CAROLINE JACKSON BECOMES BRIDE OF CORPORAL SHOLDER

At a small informal wedding solemnized last evening at 8 o'clock, Miss Caroline Mary Jackson, daughter of Mrs. Caroline Jackson, of 1301 Lafayette Parkway, became the bride of Corporal William Dale Sholder, of the Army Air Corps, son of Clarence Sholder, of Williamsport RD 2.

The single ring ceremony was witnessed by members of the immediate families. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Henry B. Strittmatter, of this city, with Melvin C. Knight, also of this city, as the best man for Corporal Sholder.

The bride was attractive in a luggage suit with green accessories and a corsage of tea roses. Mrs. Strittmatter was attired in a smart delicate blue suit with navy accessories and a corsage of red rosebuds.

Immediately following the ceremony the couple left for a short wedding trip, after which the bride will make her home with her mother. Corporal Sholder will then return to Santa Rosa, Calif., where he is stationed. The bride is in charge of the drapery department at Sears Roebuck and Company.1
Her obituary was published on 4 April 2001 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Caroline J. Sholder, 89, of 1214 Market St., died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Sycamore Manor. Her husband, William Dale Sholder, died Nov. 12, 1985. She was the drapery department manager for Sears, when it was in downtown for 19 years.

She attended St. Joseph's School and was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church and their Senior Citizens Group. She joined the Williamsport Hospital Volunteer Nurses Aid Class in 1934, volunteered at the Divine Providence Hospital coffee & gift shops and the American Red Cross and was a member of the Divine Providence Hospital Aux.

Surviving are a stepson, Jerry R. Sholder and a brother, Louis B. Jackson, both of Williamsport. She was predeceased by brothers Fredrick and James and a sister Jane.

Memorial service, 3 p.m. Friday at the church, West Fourth & Walnut Streets, with her priest officiating. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, no visitation. The family will provide the flowers and suggest contributions be made to the charity of the donors choice. Knight-Confer Funeral Home.3
