Hulda Hattie Bueber was born on 10 May 1917 at Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.2 She was the daughter of Jacob Bueber and Helena Friederich.1,2 Hulda Hattie Bueber was baptized, at age 1 month and 28 days, on Sunday, 8 July 1917 at Dennewitz Lutheran Church, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, by the Reverend J. Koppel.2 Hulda Hattie Bueber married, at age 23, Ruben Friederich, age 23 on Sunday, 9 February 1941 at Hutchinson County, South Dakota.1,2 Hulda Hattie Bueber died on 6 May 2007 at Good Samaritan Center, Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, at age 89 years, 11 months and 26 days.2 She was buried on 9 May 2007 in section 11, lot 22, in the Grace Hill Cemetery, located in Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Michael J. Jacobson.2,3
Hulda Hattie Bueber was confirmed on 17 May 1931 at Hutchinson County, South Dakota.2 She was widowed at age 61 by the death of Ruben on 4 May 1979.2,3 Her obituary was published sometime in May 2007 in the Parkston Advance, printed in Parkston, Hutchinson County, South Dakota. Her obituary stated:
Funeral services for Hulda H. Friederich were held Wednesday, May 9, at First American Lutheran Church, Tripp, with the Rev. Michael J. Jacobson officiating.
Interment was made in the Gracehill Cemetery with Goglin Memorial Chapel, Tripp, in charge of arrangements.
Honorary casketbearers were her granddaughters, Dawn Leber and Debra Bigge, granddaughter-in-law, Heather Friederich, and all of her great-grandchildren. Casketbearers were Dean Friederich, Rich Leber, Darren Bigge, Maurice Bueber, Duane Bueber and Glenn Bueber.
Hulda Hattie Friederich was born Thursday, May 10, 1917, in Hutchinson County on the family farm near Tripp. Her parents were Jacob and Helena (Friederich) Bueber. She was baptized on July 8, 1917, by Rev. J. Koppel and confirmed on May 17, 1931, by Rev. G. Briest, both at Dennewitz Lutheran Church near Tripp. She attended grade school at Lake Region District #11.
She was united in marriage to Ruben Friederich on February 9, 1941, at Dennewitz Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Kaylor area until 1972, when they retired and moved to Tripp. She was a member of First American Lutheran Church and the WELCA, and also taught Sunday school and Bible school. She was a volunteer at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center and delivered Meals on Wheels.
She died on Sunday, May 6, at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She is survived by her son, Howard (Jeanne) Friederich, Parkston; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, Dawn (Rich) Leber, Parker, and their children, Kimberly, Andrew and Travis, Debra (Darren) Bigge, Parkston, and their children, Brooke, Tucker and Wesley, and Dean (Heather) Friederich, Kaylor, and their children Triston, Makayla and Cole; sister, Alma Streyle, Menno; 10 sisters-in-law, Loretta Bueber, Regina Bueber and Darlene Bueber, all of Tripp; Hattie Friederich, Parkston, Helen Bergdale, Yorba Linda, Calif., Alvina Friederich, Fresno, Calif., Edna Brake, Pittsburgh, Penn., Linda Denke, Ft. Pierre, LaVerna Zeeb, Sioux Falls, and Elda (Robert) Long, Kadoka; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Friederich, on May 4, 1979; her parents, Jacob and Helena Bueber; one sister, Irene Nolte; seven brothers, Albert, Helmuth, Alvin, Oscar, Edmund, Bernhard, and Raymond; two sisters-in-law, Leontine Bueber and Gertrude Bueber; seven brothers-in-law, Melvin Friederich, Ervin Nolte, Ray Streyle, Harlan Bergdale, Robert Brake, Victor Denke and Reinhold Zeeb; and a nephew, Randy Bueber.2
