Pauline Dorthea Fredrich was born on 24 September 1926 at Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.1 She was the daughter of Gottlieb Fredrich and Maria Grosz.1 Pauline Dorthea Fredrich married, at age 20, Ervin Gilbert Uttecht, age 24, son of Woldemar Uttecht and Helena Winter, on Sunday, 4 May 1947 at Tripp, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.1,2 Pauline Dorthea Fredrich died on 2 December 2007 at Avera Saint Benedict Health Center, Parkston, Hutchinson County, South Dakota, at age 81 years, 2 months and 8 days.1 She was buried on 5 December 2007 in the Parkston Cemetery, located in Parkston, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.1

Funeral services for Pauline Dorthea Uttecht were held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Salem United Church of Christ, Parkston, with the Rev. Elmo Herman officiating.
Interment was made in the Parkston Protestant Cemetery with Koehn Bros. Funeral Home, Parkston, in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Josh Adams, David Kost, Donnie Konrad, Nick Adams, Kelly Kost and Kevin Carda.
Pauline Dorthea Uttecht was born September 24, 1926, near Tripp, the daughter of Gottlieb and Marie (Grosz) Friederich.
She married Ervin Uttecht on May 4, 1947, near Tripp. They farmed for 34 years southeast of Parkston. In 1981, they retired to their home in Parkston with Ervin passing away in 1990. She moved into Avera Assisted Living in February 2007. She was active in her church and the Fellowship Aid. She died Sunday, Dec. 2, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston, at the age of 81 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Ned Adams, Ankeny, Iowa; two grandsons, Josh Adams, Austin, Texas, and Nick Adams, recently serving in the US Marine Corps at Camp Lujeane, N.C., and currently residing in Ankeny, Iowa; two sisters, Annetta Wuertzer and husband, Wilmer, Parkston, and Leona Kost and husband, Erwin, Parkston; one brother, Leonard Friederich and wife, Peggy, Tripp; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; three sisters; and five brothers.1
