Sholder died on 14 May 1999 at Atlantic City Medical Center, Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey, at age 81 years, 8 months and 6 days.1,2 He was buried on 16 May 1999 in the Roosevelt Memorial Park, located in Trevose, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.2
He appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 in the household of Isadore Sholder and Rose [—?—] at Philadelphia, 39th Ward, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Frederic R. Sholder was last known to be residing in Cheltenham, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, as of 1990. SHOLDER, FREDERIC, R., 81, of Ventnor died Friday, May 14, 1999 at the City Division of Atlantic City Medical Center. He was born in Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School. He later attended evening classes at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Sholder was a prominent executive in the lumber industry. He founded Sylane Lumber Company and subsequently joined Lemco Industries as a vice-president. He remained active in the building industry until his death.
Mr. Sholder is survived by his wife of 56 years Sylvia G. Sholder, daughter Michele (Morley) Wassermann of West Bloomfield, MI; son Jeffrey Sholder of Ventnor; sister Blanche Finnel of Philadelphia and grandson Evan Wassermann of West Bloomfield, MI. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 16, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacs, 6410 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park in Trevose, PA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Atlantic County Diabetes Foundation or to the charity of choice. Arrangements by Roth-Goldsteins' Memorial Chapel, Atlantic City.2 According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Frederic's last known residence was Ventnor City, Atlantic County, New Jersey.1
