Katharina Brost was born on 27 November 1851 at Dennewitz, Bessarabia, Russia.1 She was the daughter of Johann Georg Brost and Elisabeth Weber.1 Katharina Brost married, at age 19, Karl Fredrich, age 23, son of Johannes Thomas Fredrich and Christine Bross, on Saturday, 21 January 1871 at Benkendorf, Bessarabia, Russia.1 Katharina Brost died on 5 April 1939 at Sofiental, Bessarabia, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, at age 87 years, 4 months and 9 days.1
