Helen T. Caverly1

     Helen T. Caverly was born on 23 October 1949 at Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.1 She was the daughter of Daniel J. Caverly and Gertrude L. Reid.1 Helen T. Caverly married, at age 18, Donald M. Dooris, son of James Jessie Dooris and Betty Jane Bartlett, on Saturday, 18 May 1968.1 Helen T. Caverly died on 14 September 2007 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 57 years, 10 months and 22 days.1 A memorial service for Helen T. Caverly was held Saint Boniface Catholic Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, on 18 September 2007 at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Stephen D. McGough officiating.1
     Her obituary was published on 15 September 2007 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Helen T. Dooris, 57, of 1715 Homewood Ave., Williamsport, formerly of Montoursville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at her residence.

     She was born Oct. 23, 1949 in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of Daniel J. and Gertrude L. Reid Caverly.

     Helen worked for the Montoursville Area School District as a teacher’s aid and also worked at the H & R Block Office in Williamsport. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Williamsport. Helen and her husband, Donald Dooris, celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on May 18.

     She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Vince, and a sister, Ruth Roma.

     Surviving Helen besides her husband are two sons, Paul G. Dooris and Michael J. Dooris both of Williamsport; a daughter, Megan P. (Michael) Falzarano of Highlands Ranch, Colo; a brother, Daniel J. Caverly of Las Vegas, Nev; five sisters, Pat Flathman of Pompano Beach, Fla., Catherine Pierce of Cincinnati, Ohio, Lucy Wornson of Phoenix, Ariz., Gertrude of Williamsport, and Denise of Williamsport; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Dooris.

     A Memorial Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, with Monsignor Stephen D. McGough as celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Monday, Sept. 17, from 5-7 p.m. at the Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.

     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Susquehanna Regional Home Health & Hospice, payable to, Providence Health System Foundation, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.1
