     Nancy L. Kane was born on 5 March 1930 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was the daughter of Stuart E. Kane Sr. and Lillian Gage.2 Nancy L. Kane married, at age 17, Howard LeRoy Biichle, age 20, son of Elmer Edward Biichle and Vinnie Mabel Sholder, on Saturday, 5 July 1947 at Lycoming Presbyterian Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Nancy L. Kane died on 18 April 2019 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 89 years, 1 month and 13 days.2 She was buried on 23 April 2019 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     She graduated in 1948 from Williamsport High School, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1,2 She was employed by Sylvania in 1970.2 She was employed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board as a manager between 1975 and 1990.2 As of 1983, Nancy L. Kane and Howard LeRoy Biichle lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3 Nancy L. Kane retired in 1990 from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.1 She and Howard LeRoy Biichle lived at 1228 Hillside Drive, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, between 2002 and 2004. Nancy L. Kane and Howard LeRoy Biichle lived at 1205 Bonair Drive, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, between March 2004 and December 2006. As of January 2007, Nancy L. Kane and Howard LeRoy Biichle lived at 1437 Country Club Lane, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Nancy L. Kane was Presbyterian.2 Her obituary was published on 19 April 2019 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Nancy L. Biichle, 89, of Williamsport, passed peacefully Thursday, April 18, 2019, at her home. Surviving is her loving husband Howard L. Biichle Sr., with whom she would have shared 73 years in July.

     Born March 5, 1930, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Stuart E., Sr. and Lillian (Gage) Kane.

     Nancy was a graduate of Williamsport High School and was a member of Northway Presbyterian Church. She worked at Sylvania and then was a manager for 15 years with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board until her retirement.

     Nancy was a member of the Woman’s Club where she was an avid card player and enjoyed playing bridge and poker. Above all else she enjoyed being the “Master of the House,” as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

     Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Kathy Force (Gary), of State College; Lawrence Biichle, of Williamsport; and Howard L. Biichle Jr. (Vickie), of Williamsport; seven grandchildren, Christopher Leitzell, Matthew Leitzell, Stuart Leitzell (Brigitt), all of State College; Zachariah Biichle, of Jersey Shore; Aaron Biichle, of Williamsport; Amber Biichle, of Hughesville; and Travis Rung (Alyssa), of Montgomery; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Herbert Kane, of Tampa Fla., and William Kane, of Williamsport.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Stuart E. Kane Jr., Lawrence Kane and Charles Kane.

     A funeral service to honor the life of Nancy will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

     The family will provide flowers and asks that memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o Susquehanna Health Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
