     Karoline Ruoß was born on 2 April 1900 at Haiterbach, Oberamt Calw, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg, German Empire.1 She was the daughter of Matthäus Ruoß and Anna Maria Gutekunst.1 Karoline Ruoß married, at age 22, Wilhelm Jakob Luz, age 29, son of Johann Gottlieb Luz and Friederike Magdalene Maier, on Monday, 5 June 1922 at Haiterbach, Oberamt Calw, Schwarzwaldkreis, Württemberg, Weimar Republic (Germany).1 Karoline Ruoß died on 17 July 1975 at Haiterbach, District of Calw, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany, at age 75 years, 3 months and 15 days.1
     She was widowed at age 68 by the death of Wilhelm on 21 April 1968.1
