Frederic Chris Machleid was born on 21 September 1948 at Mount Clemens, Macomb County, Michigan.1,2,4 He was the son of Frederick Machleid and Helen [—?—].4 Frederic Chris Machleid married, at age 23, Patricia Ann Tolley, daughter of Harold Westley Tolley and Dorothy Kathryn Wendell, on Saturday, 23 October 1971 at Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.1,4 Frederic Chris Machleid died on 13 March 2008 at age 59 years, 5 months and 21 days.2,4
He graduated in 1966 from Romeo High School, located in Romeo, Macomb County, Michigan.4 He was pressman at the Cadillac Products plant between 1966 and 2006 at Roseville, Macomb County, Michigan.4 The following article about Frederic Chris was published on 14 March 2008 in the The Detroit News, printed in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP -- A 59-year-old man died this morning after he lost control of his pickup truck on southbound M-53 north of 23 Mile Road.
Frederic Machleid, a Washington Township resident, was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger about 5:24 a.m. today when the incident occurred, said Macomb County Sheriff's Capt. John Roberts, citing preliminary reports.
Machleid was wearing a seat belt and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, Roberts said.
Machleid was taken to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Roads in that area of the crash were icy due to overnight freezing rain. Several crashes were reported on both sides of M-53 from 23 Mile to 30 Mile roads because of the slick road conditions.

Mr. Machleid graduated from Romeo High School in 1966. He was a pressman at Cadillac Products in Roseville for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, James Robert Machleid and Brandon Travis Machleid, both of Washington; a daughter, Jenifer Lynn Machleid, of Washington; and two siblings, Chris Randall and Patricia (Robert) Hughes. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Helen Machleid.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at Gramer Funeral Home, Diener Chapel, in Shelby Township.4
