Kepple K. Werst was born on 12 December 1895 at Wapakoneta, Auglaize County, Ohio.2,4 He was the son of William Edward Werst and Mary Sharp.2,5 Kepple K. Werst married Minnie A. Keller, daughter of George John Keller and Elizabeth A. Schuster, circa 1919. Kepple K. Werst died on 22 April 1953 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, at age 57 years, 4 months and 10 days.2,3 He was buried on 24 April 1953 in section 74, lot L-1, in the Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, located in Bethel Township, Clark County, Ohio.2,3
Kepple K. Werst was also known as Heppie. He was in military service during World War I, being discharged on 21 April 1919. He was a member of the United States Army in the 148th Infantry Unit as a part of the medical detachment.3 He and Minnie A. Keller appeared on the census of 14 January 1920 at Dayton, 6th Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. Kepple K. Werst and Minnie A. Keller appeared on the census of 30 April 1930 at Dayton, 12th Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. Kepple K. Werst was a foreman at the Precision Rubber Company in 1953 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.2 He, deceased, formerly lived at 22 South Delmar Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, as of April 1953.2
