Christ Keller was born on 4 July 1894 at Glendale, Hamilton County, Ohio.2,3,4,6,5 He was the son of Christopher John Keller and Louise Gaessler.1 Christ Keller first married Marie Fritz in 1918.3 Christ Keller married a second time Estella L. [—?—] circa 1969.6 Christ Keller died on 5 February 1987 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Bay Pines, Pinellas County, Florida, at age 92 years, 7 months and 1 day.4,6,5 He was buried on 9 February 1987 in section 53, site 261, in the Bay Pines National Cemetery, located in Bay Pines, Pinellas County, Florida.5
Christ Keller was also known as Chris.4,5 He appeared on the census of 9 June 1900 in the household of Christopher John Keller and Louise Gaessler at Dayton, 3rd Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. Christ Keller appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 in the household of Christopher John Keller and Louise Gaessler at Dayton, 3rd Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio.
Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. The first registration was for men between the ages of 21 and 31. As a result, this first registration included men born between June 5, 1886 and June 5, 1896. Christ Keller filled out a draft card in June 1917 at Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio.2 As of August 1923, Christ Keller and Marie Fritz lived at 306 Hopeland Street, Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. Christ, father of Norma Jane Keller, who died on 28 August 1923, was listed as the informant on the death certificate.3,7 Christ Keller and Marie Fritz appeared on the census of between 10 April 1930 and 19 April 1930 at Dayton, 9th Ward, Montgomery County, Ohio. He became a widower at the age of 73 with the death of Marie on 10 December 1967.8,9 Christ Keller and Estella L. [—?—] moved from Greenville, Ohio in 1970 to South Pasadena, Pinellas County, Florida.6,10 His obituary was published on 6 February 1987 in the Saint Petersburg Times, printed in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida. His obituary stated:
KELLER, CHRIS, 92, of 6800 Park St. S, South Pasadena, died Thursday (Feb. 5, 1987) at the Veterans Administration Medical Center at Bay Pines. Born in Glendale, Ohio, he came here in 1970 from Greenville, Ohio, where he was traffic manager for Kramen Brothers Foundry. He was an Army veteran of World War I, a member of the First Baptist Church of Dayton (Ohio) and was a volunteer at Palms of Pasadena Hospital. Survivors include his wife Estella; a stepson Billie D. Young, Greenville; two sisters, Emma Dauskart, Lauder Hill, and Lena Spitler, Canoga Park, Calif., and two grandchildren. David C. Gross Funeral Homes, Central Avenue Chapel, St. Petersburg.6 The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Christ as Saint Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida.4
