     Charles Albert Ranck was born on 23 March 1920 at Race Street, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5,3 He was the son of George Baskins Ranck and Ruth Edna Artman.1 Charles Albert Ranck was baptized at Lycoming Presbyterian Church, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He married, at age 21, Doris Mae Biichle, age 18, daughter of Elmer Edward Biichle and Vinnie Mabel Sholder, on Thursday, 16 October 1941 at Lycoming Presbyterian Church Parsonage, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend J. Clyde Foose.2,4 Charles Albert Ranck died on 8 September 2004 at Williamsport Home, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 84 years, 5 months and 16 days.6,3
     Charles Albert Ranck also went by the name of Tag.2 As of 1983, Charles Albert Ranck and Doris Mae Biichle lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7 As of 1995, Charles Albert Ranck and Doris Mae Biichle lived at 72 Kinley Road, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. His obituary was published on 9 September 2004 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Charles A. (Tag) Ranck, 84, of 72 Kinley Road, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at the Williamsport Home following a lengthy illness.

     Tag and his wife, the former, Doris M. Biichle, observed their 62nd anniversary on Oct. 16.

     Tag retired as a safety inspector with PA Labor and Industry, he had worked for the Williamsport Fire Department and drove for Edwards Lakes to Sea. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a member and former elder at Bethel Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member of Lodge 106 F.&A.M. and the Williamsport Consistory.

     Born March 23, 1920, in Williamsport, he was the son of George B. and Ruth E. Artman Ranck.

     Surviving besides his wife, are a daughter, Gail A. (Richard) Leidhecker of Williamsport; sons, Gary C. (Lori) of Wellsboro, Michael L. (Bernadette) of Jersey Shore and Mark W. of Dana Point, Calif; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. Richard W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The family will provide the flowers and suggests donations to the church memorial fund, 2758 Bottle Run Road, Williamsport or the Susquehanna Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport.2
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Charles's last known residence was Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
