     Morgan Vernon Kelley was born on 23 October 1903 at South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.7,2,1 He was the son of Clarence F. Kelley and LuLu Hill.2 Morgan Vernon Kelley married Eleanor Margaret Sholder, daughter of Clarence M. Sholder and Mabel M. DeRemer, circa 1928.4,3,2,6 Morgan Vernon Kelley died on 7 November 1970 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 67 years and 15 days.7,2,1 He was buried on 11 November 1970 in the Twin Hills Memorial Park, located in Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was performed by George C. Eddinger.2,1

Morgan Vernon Kelley appeared on the census of 2 January 1920 in the household of Clarence F. Kelley and LuLu Hill at Williamsport, 11th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Morgan Vernon Kelley appeared on the census of 22 April 1930 in the household of LuLu Hill at Williamsport, 5th Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Morgan Vernon Kelley was employed by the Lycoming Mills between 1940 and 1965. As of circa 1952, Morgan Vernon Kelley lived at Hughesville RD #2, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.8

     Morgan Vernon Kelley, Vernon Lester Kelley's father was listed in his obituary in November 1952 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.8 His obituary was published on circa 8 November 1970 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Morgan Vernon Kelley, 67, of Williamsport RD 2, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 1970, in the Williamsport Hospital.

     Born October 23, 1903, in South Williamsport, he was the son of Clarence F. and LuLu Hill Kelley.

     He was a retired employee of Lycoming Mills.

     Surviving are his wife the former Eleanor M. Sholder; two sons, James M. and Richard L., both at home, three daughters, Mrs. Lois M. Kurtz, of South Williamsport; Mrs. Emily M. Pittenger, of Proctor Star Route, and E. Patricia Thrasher, of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Robert L., of Linden RD 1, and Donald G., of this city; one sister, Mrs. Mary E. LeVan, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, and 11 grandchildren.

     The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Knight's, 1914 Memorial Avenue, with George C. D. Eddinger, minister of the Jehovah's Witness', officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.2
