     Marlin D. Lilley was born on 12 July 1921 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,3 He was the son of Oscar Franklin Lilley and Madeline Mildred Sholder.4 Marlin D. Lilley married, at age 20, Geraldine D. Regel, age 17, daughter of Frederick R. Regel and Sarah Blank, on Saturday, 14 February 1942.4,5 Marlin D. Lilley died on 6 March 2006 at Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 84 years, 7 months and 22 days.4,3,5 He was buried on 10 March 2006 in the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. The funeral service was officiated by Reverend Charles J. Cummings.4
     Marlin D. Lilley also went by the name of Doc.4 He appeared on the census of 16 April 1930 in the household of Simon Lilley and Alice [—?—] at Williamsport, 2nd Ward, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Marlin D. Lilley lived at RD #2, Cogan Station, Pennsylvania, between 1991 and 2000.1,2

     The obituary dated in January 1991 for Harold B. Lilley from in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, listed Marlin D. Lilley as his brother.2

     Marlin D. Lilley the brother of Elwood O. Lilley was listed in his obituary on 16 February 2000 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1 His obituary was published on 8 March 2006 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated:

     Marlin D. "Doc" Lilley Sr., 84, a resident of Cogan Station, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at home. Born in Williamsport on July 12, 1921, he was a son of Oscar F. and Madalyn Sholder Lilley.

     Marlin was a member of Ascension Catholic Church. He had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years, as a Special Delivery Messenger, retiring in the mid 1980s. He was a member of APWU Postal Union. He was a WWII Army veteran and a life member of V.F.W. Post 7863 and American Legion Post 1.

     He and his wife, the former Geraldine D. Regel, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary Feb. 14.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Marlin Lilley Jr. of Cogan Station, William (Doris) Lilley of Woolrich, Carol (Randy) McDermit of Lock Haven, Janet (Judson) Bower of Cogan Station, Dorothy (Marvin) Hughes of Williamsport and Fred (Kim) Lilley of Georgia; 26 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, with three on the way; a sister, Dorothy Beaver of Williamsport; and a brother, Glen Lilley of Carlisle.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Elwood Lilley.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday in the church, 2100 Linn St., Williamsport, with his pastor, the Rev. Charles J. Cummings, officiating. Friends and relatives may call at the church from 9:15 to 10:45 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville.

     Memorial contributions may be made to Susquehanna Home Health Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Suite 4 South, Williamsport, PA 17701. Crouse Funeral Home is handling arrangements.4
According to the Social Security Administrations Death Index Marlin's last known residence was Cogan Station, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3
