Gladys T. Harer1,2,3

     Gladys T. Harer was born on 9 February 1928 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.3 She was the daughter of Harry William Harer and Grace A. Murray.3 Gladys T. Harer married, at age 18, Carl F. McDaniel, son of John McDaniel and Henrietta [—?—], on Saturday, 2 November 1946 at Calvery Methodist Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend Ralph Hinkleman.3,4 Gladys T. Harer died on 16 April 2022 at Embassy of Loyalsock, Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 94 years, 2 months and 7 days.3
     Gladys T. Harer also went by the name of Bunny.3 She appeared on the census of 15 April 1930 in the household of Alston W. Biller and Alice Harer at Woodward Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.

     Gladys T. Harer was listed in Llewellyn E. Harer's obituary on 22 March 2002 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as his sister.1 Her obituary was published on 20 April 2022 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Gladys “Bunny”(Harer) McDaniel peacefully passed away at Embassy of Loyalsock on April 16, 2022 with her loving husband Carl McDaniel by her side.

     Born February 9, 1928 in Williamsport to Harry and Grace (Sholder) Harer, she was predeceased by her daughter Sherry (McDaniel) Good, five brothers, and three sisters, and survived by her husband Carl McDaniel of 76 years.

     Gladys is remembered by her two grandsons Anthony Good and his wife Kristine of Jim Thorpe, and Kevin Good of Washingtonville, and great-granddaughter Eliza Good of Portland, OR.

     Gladys retired from the former Mid Penn Magazine, and was a homemaker, ham radio operator, and an avid knitter and crocheter. Gladys loved to cook, bake, vacation in Maine, and plant flowers at her home in Loyalsock Township.

     In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bunny’s name to the American Cancer Society.
