     Harvey Thomas Day was born on 31 August 1931 at Pawnee, Pawnee County, Oklahoma.1 He was the son of Harvey William Day and Dorothea May Mahaffey.1,2 Harvey Thomas Day married, at age 38, Carol Jean [—?—] on Sunday, 19 April 1970 at Wheatland, Platte County, Wyoming.2,1 Harvey Thomas Day died on 25 April 2002 at Wheatland, Platte County, Wyoming, at age 70 years, 7 months and 24 days.1 He was buried on 30 April 2002 in the Lambert Cemetery, located in Wheatland, Platte County, Wyoming. The funeral service was officiated by Myron Singleton.2
     Harvey Thomas Day also went by the name of Tom.2 He appeared on the census of 8 April 1940 in the household of Harvey William Day and Dorothea May Mahaffey at Election District 8, Lincoln County, Wyoming. Harvey Thomas Day married unknown at Ponca City, Kay Co, Oklahoma and then divorced at Pawnee, Pawnee Co, Oklahoma and had unknown son. This was his first marriage.1 His obituary was published on 28 April 2002 in the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle, printed in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming. His obituary stated:

     Harvey Thomas "Tom" Day, 70, of Wheatland died April 25 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.

     Mr. Day was born Aug. 31, 1931, in Pawnee, Okla.

     Mr. Day was in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955.

     He was a rancher until 1972, when he went to work for Basin Engineering "Georgia Marble."

     He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Day of Wheatland; two sons, Charles Thomas Day and Thomas Clinton Day, both of Wheatland; two sisters, Cora Isabelle Lucero and Joyce Eileen Petersen, both of Wheatland; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

     Mr. Day was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey William and Dorothea May (Mahaffey) Day; and his grandparents.

     Pallbearers will be Johnny Scott, C.H. Brown, Bob Shepard, Rollans Zimmerman, Terry Jones and Joe Rine. Honorary pallbearer will be Shane Schneider.

     Family and friends may call at the Platte funeral home from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

     Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Lambert Cemetery, 227 Grange Road in Wheatland, with Bishop Myron Singleton of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presiding.

     Memorials may be sent to the Tom Day Memorial Fund, in care of Community First National Bank, P.O. Box 908, Wheatland, WY 82201.

     Platte Funeral Chapel of Wheatland is in charge of the arrangements.

     The Wyoming Air National Guard Flag Heritage Team will conduct military graveside services.2
