Erma Alberta Sholder1,2,3

     Erma Alberta Sholder was born on 26 March 1905 at farm of Christian (Scholderer) Sholder, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.4,3 She was the daughter of Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller.5 Erma Alberta Sholder was baptized, at age 9 years, 2 months and 19 days, on Sunday, 14 June 1914 at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.6 She married, at age 18, Elmer Rantz Pryor, age 19, son of Walter Henry Pryor and Cora Belle Frisbee, on Sunday, 23 December 1923 at Presbyterian Parsonage, Newberry, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2 Erma Alberta Sholder died on 23 March 2005 at Life Care Center, Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida, at age 99 years, 11 months and 25 days.7,3
     She appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 in the household of Frederick Sholder and Matilda Helen Miller at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Erma Alberta Sholder and Elmer Rantz Pryor appeared on the census of 3 May 1940 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was widowed at age 57 by the death of Elmer on 23 September 1962.8,9,10

     Erma Alberta Sholder was listed in James Lloyd Sholder's obituary in January 1969 in the local paper, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, as his sister.11 As of 1979, Erma Alberta Sholder lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5

     The obituary for Victor Paul Sholder from Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, dated on 19 July 1979 listed Erma Alberta Sholder as his sister.5 She appears in photograph with her sister in March 1986 Florida. As of 1999, Erma Alberta Sholder was living with Janet Louise Pryor at 650 Lake Kathryn Circle, Casselberry, Florida.2

     Erma Alberta Sholder the sister of Vinnie Mabel Sholder was listed in her obituary on 17 July 2003 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.12 Her obituary was published on 25 March 2005 Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Erma A. Pryor, 99, of Casselberry, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at the Life Care Center of Altamonte Springs, Fla. She was the wife of the late E. Rantz Pryor.

     Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen M. Miller Sholder.

     Erma was a member of the Friends Evangelical Church of Williamsport.

     Erma is survived by one son, James Pryor and his wife, Gloria, of Cogan Station; two daughters, Kathleen Ward of Casselberry, Fla., and Janet Pryor of Casselberry, Fla; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Robert; a daughter, Cecilia; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; and one sister.

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend Erma's life celebration from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. William L. Younger officiating. Interment will then follow at Twin Hills Memorial Park. In Erma's memory, memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 5151 Adanson St., Orlando, FL 32804.7
The Social Security Death Index gives the last residence of record for Erma as Casselberry, Seminole County, Florida.3
