     Edna Beatrice Sholder was born on 4 October 1904.1 She was the daughter of Edward Sholder and Pearl A. Berry.1 Edna Beatrice Sholder was baptized, at age 8 years, 2 months and 30 days, on Friday, 3 January 1913 at Bethel United Presbyterian Church, Bottle Run, Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5 She married, at age 18, LaVerne Arden Ludwig, age 20, son of Jacob Edward Ludwig and Kathryn Barbara Schon, on Thursday, 10 May 1923 at Lutheran Church Parsonage, Quiggleville, Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, by the Reverend M. M. Kitts.1,2,3,4 Edna Beatrice Sholder died on 29 August 1956 at Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, at age 51 years, 10 months and 25 days.1 She was buried on 1 September 1956 in the Buchanan Baptist Church Cemetery, located in Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.1
     She appeared on the census of 18 April 1910 in the household of Edward Sholder and Pearl A. Berry at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Edna Beatrice Sholder appeared on the census of 22 January 1920 in the household of Edward Sholder and Pearl A. Berry at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. As of 1956, Edna Beatrice Sholder and LaVerne Arden Ludwig lived at 2017 Misner Road, Williamsport, Pennsylvania.1 Her obituary was published on 30 August 1956 in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, printed in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Her obituary stated:

     Mrs. Edna B. Ludwig, wife of LaVerne A. Ludwig, 2017 Misner Road, died in the Williamsport Hospital at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 29, 1956. Death followed a stroke earlier in the day.

     She was born Oct. 4, 1904, the daughter of Edward and Pearl Berry Sholder.

     Mrs. Ludwig was a member of Lycoming Grange.

     She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical United Brethren Church and was active in the church Missionary and Dorcas Societies.

     Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Barnes, city, and Miss Doris Ludwig, at home; three sons, Glen, Williamsport RD 2, and Dale and Kenneth, city. Two grandchildren survive.

     Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Knight's 1914 Memorial Avenue. Burial will be in Buchanan Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 to 9.1
