     William Blair was born circa 1831 at Pennsylvania.3 He married Charlotte Sholder, daughter of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher, before 1860.4,2 William Blair died before 1897.
     He was a farmer in 1860 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.5

William Blair was listed as the head of household in the Eighth Census for the United States of America, enumerated on 31 July 1860 in the State of Pennsylvania, Lycoming County, Old Lycoming Township as "Wm. Blair," a white male age 29 with an occupation of a farmer, being born in Pennsylvania; he has no value listed for real estate, his personal property was valued at $350, the equivalent of $7,140 in the year 2000. We find Charlotte Sholder resided in the same household, as "Charlotte Blair" age 20 being born in Pennsylvania; and James Blair, a white male age 24 with an occupation of a farmer, being born in Pennsylvania; his real estate was valued at $2800, the equivalent of $57,140 in the year 2000 and his personal property was valued at $400, the equivalent of $8,160 in the year 2000.6 William Blair lived in Armstrong Township, and Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He and Charlotte Sholder appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 at Armstrong Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
