Emma L. Goldy1

     Emma L. Goldy was born in November 1859. She was the daughter of James Henry Goldy and Francis Cupp.1 Emma L. Goldy married, at age 18, Benjamin Sholder, age 34, son of Christian August Scholderer and Anna Margareta Lutscher, on Thursday, 2 May 1878.1 Emma L. Goldy died on 9 November 1930 at age 71 years. She was buried on 11 November 1930 in the Wildwood Cemetery, located in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
     Emma L. Goldy was also known as Emily. She and Benjamin Sholder joined the Presbyterian Church of Williamsport in 1899. Emma L. Goldy and Benjamin Sholder appeared on the census of 7 June 1900 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Emma L. Goldy and Benjamin Sholder appeared on the census of 21 April 1910 at Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She was widowed at age 59 by the death of Benjamin on 5 April 1919.2
