     Elmer Sholder was born on 23 February 1868 at Pennsylvania.3,2 He was the son of Charles Emanuel Sholder and Mary Anna Kinley.1 Elmer Sholder married, at age 17, Josephine Bastian, daughter of Samuel Bastian and Josephine [—?—], on Wednesday, 30 September 1885 at Methodist Evangical Parsonage, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. Elmer Sholder died on 7 August 1957 at age 89 years, 5 months and 15 days.2 He was buried in lot 820A, in the Montoursville Cemetery, located in Montoursville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.2
     He and Josephine Bastian were both living at Armstrong Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, in 1885 when they were married. Elmer Sholder and Josephine Bastian appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 at Armstrong Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. From 'Boyd's Directory of Williamsport', Compiled and Published by W.
